Netcraft is a proud sponsor of the IAA Systers program, the Internet Association of Australia's initiative supporting women in the internet industry. Systers funds women to attend the industry's technical conferences — the rooms where peering deals are struck, operational war stories are swapped, and careers in network engineering get built.
After sponsoring the program in 2023, we were glad to be back this year — and this time the support brought Florence and Lynnette from Our Telekom in the Solomon Islands to AusNOG. We had a fantastic time hosting them for the week.
Netcraft has worked alongside Pacific operators for decades, and the engineers who keep those networks running deserve the same access to the Australian industry's gatherings as anyone else. Conferences like AusNOG are where operators compare notes on the problems they share, and Pacific voices belong in that conversation.
