Real World Testing

NDM provides a superior service as tests are based on real world network activities, and rely on more than basic network connectivity tests. Due to this advanced approach NDM is far more capable of pinpointing failures. For example, your web server's operating system may be accepting connections, but does the application still serve web pages?

Watch and control your network in real time from your favourite web browser.
NDM keeps a history of all events that happen on your network. These can be used to measure service level agreements to verify that your systems and suppliers are meeting their obligations.
All aspects of your network performance and reliability can be provided in a variety of reports.
Multiple tests are performed on a failed service before you are notified. Repeated testing prevents you from receiving false alerts for a service that has experienced a minor disruption.

Hierarchical Testing

NDM understands the topology of your network so when a failure is detected, NDM will test all services that the failed device depends on. Only when each criteria has been checked and the source of a failure has been identified, will you receive an alert. As a result, you can be confident that the reported error is the true cause of the problem and not just a symptom.

This approach saves you the inconvenience of needing to respond to unnecessary alerts.

Unobstrustive Operation

NDM unobtrusively monitors your network 24 hours a day, seven days a week giving you the confidence that your mission-critical services are performing even when you are not around.

How does NDM work?

NDM runs 24 hours a day, 7 days a week, conducting regular checks on all connected hosts and services that you specify.

When problems are encountered and verified by the advanced testing methods, notifications are sent to the administrative contacts by e-mail and/or SMS.

The NDM system will continue to monitor the the problem, and send periodic reminders while the service remains affected. Notifications are sent upon successful resolution.

Escalated Notifications

If a problem has not been resolved within a specified time frame, notifications can be escalated to another member within your organisation.

Schedule Downtime

You can schedule downtime in advance to suspend allerts during planned outages.

Remember you can't manage what you can't measure.

What can NDM monitor?

NDM can monitor a wide range of functions on any device that is connected to the Internet. These include, but are not limited to;

Data transfer protocols: HTTP, FTP
E-mail protocols: POP-3, IMAP, SMTP
Terminal protocols: Telnet, SSH
Authentication protocols: RADIUS, TACACS and LDAP
