January 19, 2004
In what was a world first, Linus Torvalds was dunked for a good
cause and in doing so raised over $12, 000 for the Cystic Fibrosis
Organisation.
"We are really pleased to be sponsors of this very fun and very
worthwhile event," said Tique Bennett, Managing Director of
NetCraft.
"We were silver sponsors this year and have provided the
administrative support for this very successful Linux conference.
"We have always had a very active involvement with the Linux Community
here in Adelaide and were one of 3 sponsors for the very first Linux
Conference in Australia," she said.
NetCraft also co-sponsors an ftp service for downloading Red Hat
Linux.
Other prominent Linux developers including Tridge (Andrew
Tridgell), B'dale Garbee and Rusty Russell also took the plunge.
Geoffrey Bennett, co-founder of NetCraft and its Senior Engineer
