Community Involvement

NetCraft Australia has a strong belief in supporting the local community and there are a number of ways that they do this.

  • Supporting the CommunityPresentations
    NetCraft participates in information dissemination within the IT community through regular presentations at LinuxSA, PITA (Pacific Island Telecommunications Association) conferences, and with past presentations at the Internationally recognised Linux Conference linux.conf.au.
  • School Infrastructure Upgrades
    NetCraft Australia has utilised their expertise in solutions development to assist schools in upgrading their infrastructure to support a larger number of devices as schools move towards the goal of one computer per student. They have also provided advice to schools to allow them to implement changes in the most cost effective way, including recommendations on how and where to involve parents and students to reduce the cost of the transformations.
  • Web Hosting
    NetCraft provides web site hosting for a number of community groups in South Australia.
  • Providing Meeting Facilities
    NetCraft is pleased to offer the use of their meeting facilities to a number of community groups in Adelaide. Users of the facilities have included the Astronomical Society of South Australia, LinuxSA, and the Home Education Network.
  • Environment
    NetCraft Australia is a proud supporter of the project to revegetate the habitat of the hairy nosed wombat in South Australia. NetCraft also endeavour to recycle old computing equipment within the community.
